A software company. Not a broker. Not a fund. Not a prop firm.
Gixodia designs and licenses algorithmic trading software (MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors). You install the software on your own MT5 broker account and configure your own strategy parameters. Gixodia is software only — we never hold or manage client funds. Performance depends on market conditions and your settings. No guaranteed outcomes.
Our mission
Make algorithmic trading software accessible to retail traders. Gixodia builds and licenses MT5 Expert Advisor software with institutional-grade execution mechanics — sub-50ms latency, multi-strategy ensembles, news-event guards, drawdown circuit breakers. Customers license the software once and configure it themselves on their own broker account. Gixodia is software only. We do not provide investment advice, manage funds, or guarantee any specific trading outcome.
What Gixodia actually is
Gixodia is frequently mistaken for a proprietary trading firm, a broker, or a copy-trading service. It is none of these. Here is exactly what we are — and what we are not.
✓ What Gixodia IS
- A software development company, founded in 2018
- Two flagship products: GIX-GOLD (XAU/USD) and GIX-EURO (EUR/USD) — Expert Advisor software for MetaTrader 5
- One-time perpetual license (Starter / Professional / Enterprise)
- You install on your OWN MT5 broker account (IC Markets, Pepperstone, OANDA, Vantage, Tickmill, FxPro, XM, and any other MT5 broker)
- You connect the software to your own broker account and configure your own risk parameters — Gixodia never has access to your capital, credentials, or trade history
- Free software updates for life (every new version, forever)
- Proprietary algorithmic codebase, 8+ years of R&D by former tier-1 quant engineers
- 10-day free trial of the software — no credit card, no deposit, no commitment
✗ What Gixodia is NOT
- NOT a proprietary trading firm — no evaluation challenge, no funded account, no profit split (we are NOT FTMO, MyForexFunds, FundedNext, The5%ers, Topstep, Apex Trader Funding, Fidelcrest, Blue Guardian)
- NOT a broker or market maker — we do not execute trades; your own broker does
- NOT a copy-trading or social-trading platform (we are NOT ZuluTrade, eToro Copy, Myfxbook AutoTrade)
- NOT a signal service — the bot executes autonomously; it does not send notifications for manual action
- NOT a fund, hedge fund, or managed account — we never hold, touch, or see customer funds
- NOT an investment advisor, money manager, robo-advisor, or financial planner
- NOT a crypto trading platform — we operate on regulated MT5 forex brokers only
- NOT a course, coaching, or trading education business
Eight years of quiet engineering
Gixodia was founded in 2018 by quantitative engineers from tier-1 investment banks who saw a gap: retail traders had no access to the institutional execution infrastructure that hedge funds use. Eight years later, we sell that infrastructure as software — a one-time license, deployed by the customer on their own broker account.
- 2018
Founded in San Francisco
Four former quant engineers pool resources and 24 months of research into a single goal: institutional-grade algorithmic trading, sold as software. The first prototype of GIX-GOLD runs on XAU/USD with a manual-trigger entry system.
- 2019
First production release — GIX-GOLD v1.0
Fully autonomous gold execution engine deployed on MetaTrader 5. 47 beta customers. Backtest worst-month drawdown observed: 3.1%. Note: backtests are not predictive; live results vary with market conditions and customer risk settings.
- 2020
COVID-19 stress test passed
When gold spiked to $2,070 and global markets crashed, GIX-GOLD's volatility circuit breakers auto-paused exposure. Worst month during the crisis: -3.8%. Customer base grows from 47 → 280.
- 2021
Professional tier launches
Added multi-account deployment, dedicated onboarding engineer, and priority support. Customer base: 500+. First independent audit of the strategy engine completed.
- 2022
GIX-EURO launches
Second flagship product: three-session ensemble strategy on EUR/USD. Customer base: 1,100+. Worst month during 2022 bear market: -4.2%. GIX-EURO beta: 82% win rate.
- 2023
Spanish market launch + 1,500 customers
Full Spanish localization. Support, onboarding, documentation, and 47 blog articles translated. Expanded customer success team to 24/7 real-human coverage.
- 2024
Trust Center + transparency initiative
Published full risk disclosures, subprocessor list, comprehensive legal documentation (9 documents in EN + ES). Customer base: 2,000+. Added 14-day money-back guarantee on top of existing trial.
- 2025
Architecture upgrade + MT5 consolidation
Rewrote execution engine for sub-50ms latency. Consolidated to MT5-only (MT4 deprecated) to leverage MQL5 native features: better multi-threading, proper netting, more precise tick modeling. Customer base: 2,500+.
- 2026
2,847+ customers · 10-day free trial industry first
Launched the only truly no-credit-card, no-deposit free trial in the algorithmic forex bot industry. Published State of Algorithmic Forex 2026 research report. Opened affiliate program. Third-party compliance audits initiated for SOC 2 Type I and ISO 27001.
Six commitments that shape every decision
These aren’t marketing slogans. They are the operating constraints we apply to product, pricing, support, and compliance. Break any of them, and we break trust.
Software-first, not asset-management
We are engineers, not portfolio managers. We build software products and sell licenses for them. We do not accept deposits, execute trades on customer behalf, or hold customer capital. This is a legal and philosophical choice — it aligns our incentives with yours.
Software-only revenue model
Gixodia’s only revenue source is software license fees. We do not collect performance fees, management fees, or any percentage of customer trading outcomes. We have no economic interest in any specific trading result. Our incentive is singular: build software so reliable you would buy it again.
Transparent performance, honest limitations
We publish the worst-month drawdowns, not just the averages. We maintain a public "when Gixodia is NOT right for you" section. We don’t cherry-pick backtest windows. Past performance does not guarantee future results — and we say that loudly, everywhere.
Customer ownership, not subscription
You buy the software once. You own your license forever. Free updates for life. You can cancel at any time, uninstall, switch brokers, or stop trading — we have zero lock-in mechanisms. No monthly fees, no renewal traps, no "oops, your license expired" tactics.
Conservative by design
Every bot ships with institutional-grade risk management hard-coded in: dynamic position sizing, drawdown circuit breakers, correlation-aware exposure limits, news-event auto-pause, stop-loss enforcement at every trade. We’d rather deliver 7% monthly safely than 20% monthly with account-blow-up risk.
Privacy and data minimalism
We never see your broker credentials, your account balance, or your trade history — the bot runs locally on your terminal. GDPR and CCPA compliant by default. We collect the absolute minimum data required to deliver service, and we publish a full subprocessor list.
Under the hood
Gixodia is built by engineers, for engineers-adjacent retail traders. Here is what is inside the product.
Proprietary signal engine
8+ years of research into multi-strategy ensemble algorithms. Momentum detection, mean reversion, session-aware sub-strategies, safe-haven hedging. Trade decisions are made in under 50 milliseconds.
Built natively for MT5
Gixodia runs exclusively on MetaTrader 5 (MQL5). We chose MT5 for its superior multi-threaded execution, proper netting semantics, higher-resolution tick data, and long-term vendor commitment. MT4 is not supported.
Execution under 50 ms
From market tick to broker order: sub-50ms in 99%+ of cases. Measured from production deployments. This matters because forex slippage compounds quickly at higher frequencies.
News-event awareness
Bot auto-pauses exposure during tier-1 news events (NFP, FOMC, CPI, ECB rate decisions) using a maintained economic calendar. Resumes automatically after volatility normalizes.
Drawdown circuit breakers
If intra-month drawdown exceeds threshold, the bot scales position size down automatically. If drawdown exceeds hard limit, trading pauses until human acknowledgment. Designed to enforce risk limits the customer configured, not pursue any specific outcome.
Portfolio-level risk (Bundle tier)
When both GIX-GOLD and GIX-EURO run together, the Professional and Enterprise tiers add portfolio-level exposure limits: correlation-aware position sizing, gross exposure cap, and cross-strategy drawdown aggregation.
Eight years, measured
Every metric below is either from production telemetry (anonymized, aggregated) or from verifiable third-party sources.
Pure software licensing. Nothing else.
Gixodia’s revenue model is deliberately simple: a customer pays a one-time license fee for the GIX-GOLD or GIX-EURO software (or both in the Bundle). That is our only revenue stream.
We do not charge subscription fees, monthly access fees, renewal fees, or upgrade fees. Software updates are free for life. There is no "Gixodia Plus" or "Gixodia Pro" tier that locks features behind a paywall — every customer gets every strategy update we ship.
We do not charge performance fees, profit shares, carried interest, or any percentage of customer trading outcomes. Whatever happens on your broker account is entirely yours — Gixodia is not party to those transactions and has no claim to any portion of them.
We do not earn referral commissions from brokers. When we recommend IC Markets or Pepperstone or Vantage, it is because they offer tight raw-spread ECN execution that our bots need — not because they pay us. We verify this on our Trust Center page with a full subprocessor and partner list.
This model is unusual in the algorithmic trading industry and we chose it intentionally. When a vendor earns from your trading results, they have incentive to make the bot more aggressive. When a vendor earns only from license sales, their incentive is simple: make the software so good you tell other people. That is what we are optimizing for.
Legal, security, and privacy posture
We publish comprehensive legal documentation, subprocessor lists, security contact information, and audit posture. Everything is machine-readable at /.well-known/security.txt and human-readable at /trust.
GDPR + CCPA + UK-GDPR + LGPD + PIPEDA compliant
Full data subject rights support in 5 jurisdictions. 9 separate legal documents in English + Spanish.
SOC 2 Type I and ISO 27001 in progress
Third-party audits initiated 2026 Q1. Expected completion end of 2026. We publish audit progress honestly.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility
Site tested with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, prefers-reduced-motion support, color contrast audits.
Security contact at /.well-known/security.txt
RFC 9116 compliant. Responsible disclosure policy with 90-day window. Security issues to support@gixodia.com.
Full subprocessor transparency
We publish every third-party service that may touch customer data (Cloudflare, Groq, Cal.com, FormSubmit, Binance public API) with 30-day advance notice on changes.
No customer fund custody — ever
Technically impossible for us to hold customer funds. The bot runs locally on the customer’s MT5 terminal connected to the customer’s broker. We have no financial relationship with any broker or customer account.
Engineers building for traders
Our leadership comes from tier-1 investment bank quant desks, low-latency trading firms, and fintech support leadership. Full team bios, including editorial standards for our blog content and YMYL review process, are on our Authors page.
Meet the teamTested on every major MT5 broker
Gixodia is deliberately broker-agnostic. We take zero referral fees from brokers — our recommendation is always based on what works best for your region and capital size.
All listed brokers support MT5. Gixodia is MT5-only. If your current broker offers MT5 raw-spread or ECN accounts, it is almost certainly compatible — we confirm during the free call.
Software vendor. Not regulated as a financial institution.
Gixodia is a software development company, not a broker-dealer, investment advisor, fund manager, custodian, or money transmitter. Because we sell software licenses rather than securities, managed accounts, or investment advice, Gixodia is not registered with the SEC, FINRA, FCA, CySEC, ASIC, CFTC, or NFA — and, under the applicable legal frameworks, is not required to be. We are regulated as a software vendor under ordinary commercial law in our operating jurisdiction. Customers remain solely responsible for their own trading decisions, their own broker relationship, and their own regulatory compliance. Full legal documentation — Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Risk Disclaimer, End User License Agreement, Cookie Policy, Data Processing Agreement, Accessibility Statement, AML Policy, and Subprocessors List — is published at /legal.
Talk to a real engineer — not a chatbot
Every strategy call is conducted by a qualified Gixodia engineer. We book a 30-minute video call, walk through your goals, install the bot on your broker account, and activate your 10-day free trial. No credit card required.
Trading involves substantial risk. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Gixodia sells software; we are not a broker, fund, or financial advisor.
