Setting up GIX-PROP on your challenge account: what you need, step by step
Setting up GIX-PROP is simpler than it sounds. You need your MT5 login from your firm and a computer that keeps MetaTrader 5 open. You can do it yourself with the install guide, or on a short call of about 15 minutes with Spirix, an independent setup partner.
In 30 seconds
- You need: your firm’s MT5 login, a Windows PC or Windows VPS, and a firm that allows EAs.
- Start the 10 free days; they begin when you confirm your card.
- Set it up yourself with the guide, or on a short optional call with Spirix.
- Set your stop at or below your firm’s daily limit, and keep MT5 running.
What you need
Four things, and you probably have three of them already:
- A challenge or funded account on MT5 from your prop firm, and its login.
- Confirmation that your firm allows Expert Advisors on that account.
- A Windows PC or a Windows VPS that keeps MetaTrader 5 open and connected.
- About 15 minutes.
Step 1: start your 10 free days
Sign the licence agreement and the GIX-PROP Addendum on the signup page, then confirm your card on Stripe’s secure page. The 10 free days start when you confirm your card, and the first charge ($249 a month) is 10 days after checkout. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. One free trial per person, across all Gixodia plans.
Try GIX-PROP on your challenge account
Focused on EUR/USD, a balance stop you tighten to your firm’s limits, protection layers before it. $249 a month after 10 free days that start when you confirm your card. Cancel in one click.
No charge today. Check first that your firm allows Expert Advisors.
Step 2: your licence key arrives by email
The email carries your GIX-PROP licence key. Your dashboard holds the GIX-PROP download and the GIX-PROP install guide.
Step 3: set it up, your way
Install it yourself with the GIX-PROP install guide, or book a short setup call with Spirix, an independent setup partner, who sets it up with you on the MT5 account your firm issued to you. Using Spirix is your choice: to book it, reply to the licence email or write to support@gixodia.com.
Step 4: set your stop and keep MT5 running
Set the GIX-PROP stop at or below your firm’s daily loss limit (its built-in level, shown in the EA inputs, is the highest it goes). Then keep MetaTrader 5 open and connected; if the terminal is closed, the software is not running.
A new phase or a new challenge
Your firm issues a new MT5 login for each phase, reset or new challenge. Your dashboard shows how to move your licence to the new login.
Quick answers
Do I need a VPS for GIX-PROP?
You need MetaTrader 5 open and connected while it trades. A Windows PC that stays on works, and a Windows VPS keeps it running when your own computer is off.
Who installs GIX-PROP?
You can install it yourself with the GIX-PROP install guide in your dashboard, or on a short call of about 15 minutes with Spirix, an independent setup partner. Using Spirix is your choice.
When does the free trial start?
When you confirm your card at checkout, not when the software is set up. The first charge, $249 a month, is 10 days after checkout, and one click in your dashboard cancels before then.
No software can guarantee a passed challenge, a kept account or a payout.
FTMO is named here only as the rule set GIX-PROP was designed around. Gixodia is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of FTMO or any other prop firm, and Gixodia is not a prop firm.
